COMMUNITY-BASED
NEIGHBORHOOD LEGAL SERVICES
SeniorLAW
Center provides services not only by telephone and walk-in
intake at its center city offices, but throughout the
communities of Philadelphia, through home visits, outreaches
throughout the city, special projects at community and
senior centers, and at its six community-based intake
sites.
SeniorLAW Center
staff and panel attorneys provide services to homebound,
disabled and chronically ill elders in their homes or at nursing
homes and hospitals, when appropriate. SeniorLAW Center’s
Homebound Elderly Legal Project, launched in September 1999, has
made these services more readily available to those most in
need.
SeniorLAW Center
conducts outreach, workshops and special legal services
projects throughout community, senior and family sites in
Philadelphia, including those which bring corps of volunteer
attorneys to sites throughout the city to provide individual
services, such as writing wills, powers of attorney, and living
wills.
COMMUNITY LEGAL CLINICS
SeniorLAW Center is most
proud of its six community-based legal services clinics
at sites throughout Philadelphia. SeniorLAW Center legal staff members
provide services on regularly scheduled days in the
neighborhoods and the languages of our elderly clients, in
comfortable and familiar settings, striving to make SeniorLAW Center’s
services as accessible as possible.
